Collage making is one of the simplest art forms to get you moving in that direction.

Art is not only 2D or 3D work in galleries or magazines. Art is much broader than that:

1) Art is a way of looking at the world. A way of reveling in the details of life. A way of reflecting reality of your life in a new way.

2) Art is an attitude. An openness to experience. A reserving of judgment. A new perspective.

3) Artistic skill can be learned. With pointers and encouragement you can learn to express yourself artistically.

Collage art is very simple to learn and to do. In this website I will show you the ropes - the art and craft supplies you need, the 'how to' techniques you can use, peppered with some tips, photos of collage work, collage videos, collage ideas and hopefully, some inspiration.

I believe that collage is also a great art form for kids too. The techniques are so simple that often all you have to do is supply the crafting materials and off they go. If you have kids, collage is something you can do alongside your children too, learning and expressing creatively together.

I am what you would called a 'Jack of Many Trades'. I love to take digital photographs, paint and write poetry. My collage philosophy is to use these different art forms in my collages. I feel that using your own images and words lends another layer of authenticity to your work.
