Craft Supplies
In order to create something you need some craft supplies ready to use, right? But what supplies should you get? Well, if you Google -craft supplies- you will find a huge number of sites offering every kind of product and tool that you can imagine from thousands of companies and suppliers. So how to choose? Who, what, how much to buy? The best way is for you to check with someone who does what you want to do, who uses the supplies, who has tried and made errors, so you don’t have to. When I was learning the art of collage I poured over magazines and collage art books choosing projects I wanted to do and buying the supplies they suggested. Some worked for me others did not.
Then I took some classes and was given direct instruction on how to use some supplies. I went to scrapbooking evenings at friend's houses and tried out some more products. Through this process I became loyal to a few products. I am a busy mom of 5 kids, I do not have a lot of time to research new tools and craft supplies right now, so I go with what works. I end up using tools and products over and over until I am banged on the head with something new that is actually better. So while I know there are choices out there but let me make some of my recommendations for you here:
Adhesives
Gesso
Craft Paints
Brushes Rubber Stamps & ink Scrapbooking supplies Collage papers Found art supplies Jewelry making supplies Soldering Fibers Fabrics Artist supplies Bases to collage on (substrate) Other supplies
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with any of the companies whose products I use. However, I am an Artist on Call for Stampington & Co.
